The Coastal Pastel Society of North Carolina (CPSNC) is formed
• to promote education in the medium of soft pastels
among artist and art supporters;
• to establish regularly scheduled meetings to provide and exchange ideas,
critique work and share knowledge of new techniques in the pastel medium;
• to provide opportunities for member shows and juried exhibitions
exclusive to the pastel medium;
• to provide a format for informative programs and workshops for artists;
• and to facilitate appropriate categories for participation for pastel artists
in juried exhibitions not limited to pastel works only.
